The Prix de Rome is the Netherlands’ oldest, most important prize for visual artists under 40. Its aims to find talented artists and encourage them to develop their work and their visibility. From 2013, the competition is organised by the Mondriaan Foundation. The winner will receive €40,000 and a residency in Rome.
