Great news: the book Buildings by Women has made the longlist for the 2026 mr. J. Dutilh Prize! This was announced in De Kroniek, the magazine of the Historical Society Roterodamum, last March. The mr. J. Dutilh Prize is awarded every two years to the author of the best book about Rotterdam published in the intervening years. After the summer, the jury will announce which of the fifteen books will take home the prize.

Gebouwen door Vrouwen (Buildings by Women) is an initiative by Sofie van Brunschot that celebrates the work of female architects. She is building an accessible overview of all construction projects in the Netherlands that have been (co-)designed by women. The overview has been mapped out on her website.
