This weekend, Towards a Nude Architecture is featured in the Arts & Leisure section of the Sunday Edition of The New York Times. Journalist Patricia Leigh Brown spoke author and architect Yuval Zohar – also refered to as the “Master of a Thousand Soaks” and “Nude Dude” – about his passion for hot springs, or “onsen”, as they are known in Japan, and the public bathhouses known as “sento”. The result? An interesting read on the historic sento, the Japenese public bathing culture and the importance of this authentic tradition.
