Dutch designers are known worldwide for their originality and bold innovations; their work penetrates our society to the core. Design is everywhere: design shapes the world of today and anticipates that of tomorrow.

Recent times have been marked by the aftermath of the pandemic, an unexpected war, out-of-control climate problems and unprecedented inflation: this is a chaotic time.

Although these crises profoundly affect the creative sector as well, uncertain periods also challenge designers to think about the future. How can they help find answers to the dilemmas of our day? What part can they play in the necessary transitions?
