Hester van Eeghen

Hester van Eeghen (1958-2021) pioneered the use of bright colours in her bag and shoe designs. Her iconic creations were internationally acclaimed and are in the collections of several museums. Since the 1980s, her bags and shoes have been an indelible part of the Dutch design tradition.

In a career spanning more than 40 years, Van Eeghen created a thousand designs for her own brand, collaborated with other prestigious brands and produced countless unique pieces for charity. Her work is characterized by geometric patterns, bright colours, a sense of humour and a penchant for versatility of use.
