Get ready for spring 2025 with our brand new catalogue!

In this spring catalogue we celebrate the work of a number of Dutch icons from the worlds of art, design and architecture. From seventeenth-century Amsterdam’s greatest sculptor, Artus Quellinus, to the notebooks of the architect Herman Hertzberger, from the bags of the Rotterdam designer Susan Bijl to the investigative work of the visual artist Fiona Tan and the jewellery of Gijs Bakker. And to celebrate the 750th anniversary of Amsterdam – the home base of Quellinus, Hertzberger, Tan and Bakker – we publish a book that chronicles the urban development of this city over the last fifty years. Complementing this with a perspective on the unique artistic climate of the Dutch capital, is a history of the iconic Amsterdam Galerie Fons Welters.

The books on Artus Quellinus and Fiona Tan are published to coincide with exhibitions in the Rijksmuseum, which is also holding a major retrospective of American photography. Featuring works by photographers ranging from Robert Frank to Nan Goldin, the accompanying book demonstrates how deeply bound up with American society and culture this medium has been ever since its
invention. What the publications in this spring catalogue have in common is that they show and celebrate how these artists, photographers, designers and architects see and represent their world, how they go about doing that and how they are influenced in this endeavour by place, culture and history.
